Question about Section 5.23.1 Installation of Gettext

When executing the command

Code:
make -C intl pluralx.c
There was an error:

Code:
make: *** No rule to make target `pluralx.c'. Stop.
Why's that?

Welcome to LQ.

cd gettext-tools/
find . -name pluralx.c
* The reply from find is : ./intl/pluralx.c

The file pluralx.c is generated with 'configure' ...
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/...5/gettext.html
cd gettext-tools/
EMACS="no" ./configure --prefix=/tools --disable-shared

* If your location is different from "gettext-tools/",
and you didn't do the configuring in "gettext-tools/",
then you have no `pluralx.c.

Please remember the important command 'pwd'.
Type pwd, and you get your current location.

Thanks for your warm welcome and your reply. I haven't worked on LFS since I last asked the question, but I will check and ask if I have further concerns.
