LFS 7.2, chapter 5., section 5.4.1 Installation of Cross Binutils


Hello Everyone.

I am building my first LFS 7.2 using ubuntu 12.04.1.
When Building Binutils-2.22 Pass-1, I get error in "make install".

This is my version check result:

This is the error i get:

Please guide me. I have also tried to attach the config.log file, as this is my first useful post i don't know whether its correctly attached. Please Need your help urgently. I reached till glibc, and then have to start again due to system crash, now again i am on step one. Waiting for your kind help.

What error are you getting???
It dosn't show any errors there

Nothing to be done for install, isn't it an error? Since when i reach it to glibc, i cant compile dummy program, so i restarted whole process. Thought might i have missed something. It sounded different so asked. I thought it was an error.

No it will report an error if 1 occurs

Spiky001, may you please do a favor? Can i continue this post as unsolved till dummy program after Glibc PASS 1? So can get help from you all the way, if in case again that error occurs at glibc time..

Hi

Wait till you done glibc If there error occurs there start a new thread.
Also if you want to post a complete log file use http://pastebin.com/
or something similer FYI"ppl dont/wont download a file to there pc"

okay thank you so much. I'll do as you suggested, but just an extra favor Gcc on make, shortly will be doing glibc. hope this time it works or else will tell you. Are you around here for a while?
