You're welcome. They also have mirrors for LFS an BLFS, I always try to get the packages elsewhere but that is sometimes not possible.
So is this question solved? You can mark this thread solved, under thread tools at the top of the page.
SO dear my mentor, I have just one more question.
The host prerequisite packages.
Are there any distribution or live CD to match with those old packages?
Or can I just ignore not tested version and use them?
(such as GCC is too newer to use, and the book also says it is risky because it's not tested yet.)
I want to walk around that issue, but I can't find out the answer.
Even LFS system build with 8.2 version is upper versions than requirements.
The only way I can think of is to downgrade the versions.
Hope you can give me some answer to proceed with confidence.
I desperately want to build CLFS and use it as my daily machine, but there are too many obstacles than LFS or BLFS.
And I think they came from the age, not the vulnerability. So if a new version is coming, I want to know that too.
Why do you need CLFS? Using old packages is generally not a good idea, since many have bugs, security holes, etc that have been fixed in newer releases. And why doesn't LFS and BLFS work?

I want to build a multi-lib Linux.
And I read LFS is just pure 64-bit.
Are there any way to make it multilib?
Thanks if you give me any links.
I'll read them and study.
You could use a 32-bit virtual machine run from your 64-bit LFS. I'm considering doing that, using a 32-bit Mageia-6 VM whenever i want to print something (my Brother printer drivers are 32-bit only). It's annoying to do that - but it also a pain to add multi-lib.
Posted from my bright, shiny LFS-8.2 running KDE -- another great release.

Hope you can help me little. After LFS, how long did it take to build KDE?
I've done LFS several times, but give up when I saw DE dependencies(required).
I have i5-47?? CPU, Can you tell me how long it will take to build DE?(even roughly)
So I'm going back to Kernel Development again. If you tell me it doesn't take too much time, then I'll try once.
