help with "post install" of vim in lfs 6.0


After installing VIM I entered the ,

vim -c 'ptions'

well I have never used vim,vi at all and I'm stuck and can't exit...well I don't want to exit the wrong way and exit my enviroment or mess up my installation.
Any help would be great.

For info on the program in general, hit up vim.org, or, try vimtutor
