cat /proc/meminfo

Sorry - i might have misunderstood. Is it a requirement to use 'sar' or can you use the built in /proc information which answers your question perfectly?

Really??? You first asked about sar in 2007...that is EIGHT YEARS AGO. Have you not learned and progressed ANY in that time?

You've also asked numerous questions about memory utilization:

At what point are you going to be able to apply what you learn and have been told, and perhaps do basic research of your own?

I haven't used sar in a long time. Here is a guide on how to set it up for collecting data and displaying the data.
