During Oracle 10g installation in /home/oracle, I found directory size problem. For making directory for oracle software and database, the default size is 1.8GB where I require 2.5GB for Oracle and 1.2GB for database. How can I increase the size?
How much space is left on your disk? If the space is sufficient then you will have to make a new partition and mount it on something like /u02/oracle. you can change the home directory path for the user oracle to be /u02/oracle.

The space in the hard disk is sufficient but by making new partition I found no benefit as it takes 1.8 GB default space. I don't know how to maxmize it.
