I am particularly fond of using webmin , you would just select the users you wish to export and or groups and then export batch file.

@ZAMO / @jkzfixme:

Be sure to check out webmin's cluster module as well, if you haven't already. It is overkill for the sole purpose of cloning a user account, but it is a great help for keeping hosts in sync -- even if there are only two of them.

Am trying to clone the account for user in RHEL 4 systems, which are in cluster. I don't have webmin access there. Is it ok , if i copy the following items:

Code:
scp  /etc/passwd    server2:/etc/passwd
scp  /etc/group     server2:/etc/group
scp  /etc/gshadow   server2:/etc/passwd

Thanks All
jkzfixme,

How can I mark a Post as SOLVED?

The 3rd line is wrong, and you've missed /etc/shadow. In any case, those would copy all accts(!) which is almost certainly not what you want. See troop's suggestions.
