Post About volume group error


WE configured / parition on volume group
the error we are facing that it goes to check FSCK to that partition it finishes 69% then error msg is
"pls confirm the root password" or press clt + d for continue

it don't take the password here & if we press clt + d we get our system rebooted ....

what is this error for i mean resion for this error & what is its solution

it wants you to manually run fsck and is trying to put you into single user mode. enter the correct root password and fsck the offending partition.

alternately, boot from a LiveCD, import it, and fsck it from there.

we dids this 2 things too...run from live cd but it does nt booted and it is not allowing us to go in single user mode...
