Unhappy How to mount the embedded flash memory?

Hi,
I have Ubuntu 5.10 installed on my system. When i connect my mobile to the system, i am able to mount the memory card of my mobile from /dev/sda1. Similarly, is there a way to mount the phone memory of my mobile? i think it contains Cramfs and mtdblock filesystems. Should i add any module to my kernel and re-compile or is this functionality already present in the kernel?

Can you please help me out to make my phone memory visible on my system...
I am using motorola E6 mobile... by default it exposes only the memory card and not the phone memory...

First of all get a more recent *buntu.

Check the devices that are accessible. Special devices are required to access the phone memory? (see ipmart.com)
