The user option will allow ordinary users to mount the file systems, but doesn't give them rights to modify them. Probably the easiest way is to add the umask option:
Code:
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part7 /mnt/dos vfat comment=jiffymount,noatime,nodiratime,user,exec,dev,suid,umask=0000 0 0
Have a look at man mount, there's more info there. You can also set permissions by user or group id.

Thank you for the fast reply
but i can not tell you if it worked or not because i have just decided to switch to mepis since i can not use the root account (command: su ==> wrong password and i do not remember supplying a password while installation) and the admin (created while installation) user can not edit fstab file

but thank you for your reply

No problem - the same settings apply in Mepis as well. /etc/fstab exists in all Linux distros.
