What is the latest version of GenToo with the 2.4.x kernel?


What is the latest version of GenToo with the 2.4.x kernel? Where can I download the ISO for it at?

umm.. gentoo is like.. a rolling distribution.. so you really can emerge 2.4 sources.. but you are certainly welcome to download the latest 2.4 from kernel.org and install it...

hi,

I installed gentoo 2 months ago and the default kernel was still a 2.4 one

then it was longer than 2 months ago.. i believe it was the change from 2005.0 to 2005.1 that made that change... which was in early August...

*shrug* I've just ALWAYS used the 2.6 kernel with gentoo.. first I used it was 2004.3 (i think). I have no value for a 2.4 over 2.6..

No it was during October, and i've had the choice. and yes I made a mistake, the default is now 2.6
