I'm trying to install suse via FTP install on an HP Pavilion ze4300 laptop.

The card uses the natsemi module, and seems to do fine. At the end of the install when it configures the network, it gets up to "Activating Network Services"

The computer locks up there, I tried letting it sit for as long as I could stand and figured it wasn't going to do anything. I tried again and the same thing happened.

I had to boot using no ACPI, if that changes anything.

I've been having a similar problem installing a pcmcia wireless card. The card is recognized by Suse and configured through Yast. Everything goes smoothly until Suse attempts to start network services, then the system freezes.

I have attempted to use different drivers and I have disabled everything included in the "Network Services" module in Yast. I have also tried different configuration setups for the wireless card. The system still freezes when the card is inserted.

Seems like I need to do some more research on these 'network services'. If anyone has some advice, or knows where I can find some more information, please let me know.
