I just got my SuSE 9 installed, after a device permissions disaster with 8.2, and now it won't run my soundcard. When I check in the Yast modules, it says the number of soundcards running doesn't match the number configured. Well, no kidding. Now, my soundcard is configured correctly (SoundBlaster PCI 128) and it worked less than 24 hours ago. When I try to get it to run it it acts like it's going to start up but it doesn't.

Any ideas?
That message about that it says the number of soundcards running doesn't match the number configured: I think I got that one too, but I didn't care about it.
You don't have any USB headset or something installed?
