Power saver

I have doing some info-monitor system with mini-box pc.
Feather linux boot from usb momory key.
It has perl and smbmount what i need there.
Problem is that power saver cut singnal from screen
after 10 minutes and you have to press button or move mouse to wake up it.
Screen should be allways up.
I have tested boot (syslinux.cfg) with noapm and noacpi etc.
Nothing works.

Does anybody know how to generate fake press button or move mouse event
with writing (running at backround) script.

Or if you know some other small linux running from usb memory key.
There have to be smbmount ( or mount.cifs).

Is this in a virtual terminal? Then try the following:
Code:
setterm -powersave off
I think the solution to your problem is to switch off the powersaving, not to switch distros or to simulate a key press.

Hi
When booting up it starts X and Flux (via .xinitrx).
If I open xterm and try command setterm -powersave off
it say "cannot (un)set powersave mode"
If I stop "X" and return to tty1 then I
manage to use that command.
Result is that after ten minutes only
some bolted char stay visible.
Then when I startx manually so after 10 minutes screen say
again "no singnal"
There is proces name kampd which I thing
do that. I can't kill it.

If you use APM then indeed you should be able to turn it off. Try `man apm` for commands.

No I don't use apm.
Of course I can use apm or acpi and kill both of them but
that is kampd.
What does that mean - mayby (k)ernell apmd or somthing.

Hi
Thanks a lot Uselpa.
You show me direction!
I finally found settings for power save off.
I found them from http://www.eng.uwaterloo.ca/twiki/bi...nux/KioskSetup
"Koji also figured out how to disable screen blanking by adding the following lines to the .xinitrc"

setterm -blank 0 -powersave off -powerdown 0
xset s off
