PCLinuxOS: KDE vs MATE

I have been looking into getting a computer with PCLinuxOs but I do not know which to use- KDE or MATE. Which one is better? Pros & Cons from experience.

This question is like asking: Which ice is better, chocolate or vanilla?
Nobody can answer this question for you, I would strongly recommend to test them yourself and decide based on your experiences.

My question is not that extreme, not simply good or bad, black or white. I am simply asking for those who have experiece with this distro to tell me what they think. What are the pros & cons that they have found in using this distro.Does this clarify my question?

Your logic here is as flawed as you poem. "Forgiveness is the fragrance that a rose has left on the boot that has crushed it"- Mark Twain

astrogeek, come back. Make a positive contribution here, like tell me something about PCLinuxOS. After all, this is the reason that I started this thread- not to be told my question was simplistic. [MODERATED]

KDE or MATE. Which one is better ?
There is only one way to find out :
Install both, and then use the two different 'Desktop Managers'.

The easy way : Install the 'Mate cd'
http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/p...nuxos/live-cd/
.. and then install the KDE packages :
The 'login window' will allow you to select 'Mate' or 'KDE'.

User opinion : Don't know. Sometimes I'm using Mate, and sometimes KDE.
It's like when you have two cars ( Or two of <anything equipment> ),
only you can decide which one you like best for the actual use.

Thank you kundfl for showing intelligence. I will follow your advice. I only asked for other peoples opinions as to the
pros & cons of each distro because I am not experienced with PCLinuxOS & just wanted to get some input about the distro.
Again, thank you kindly.

Since you are new to Linuxquestions.org you might need time to acclimatize.
So now is probably the best time to tell you your language is unwarranted and will not be condoned.
Note that you agreed to adhere to the LQ Rules (https://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/rules.html) when you signed up.
Please do not do that again.
