I burned the is x86_64 from Momonga on a DVD.
It's almost 4 Gb.
Now this DVD is booting.
But after booting it will not install.
It tells me there is no Momonga ISO on CD.
But how can it boot with a Momonga installation screen when there's no ISO?
What can I do?
Do I need some boot options to find the DVD?
Please help.
Tnx,
AvalonVrouwe

Or it could be driver issue. If your optical drive is not supported by the install dvd, the installer will still be able to launch itself but it will fail the first time it needs to retrieve anything from the dvd as it cannot find the drive.
It can't find the iso on my harddisk as well.
So that's a bit odd.
It seemed to be burned correctly.
Any more suggestions?
I am a bit sad now.
It seems a very good distro from what i read abou it.
No, but I managed to install it last night.
Don't ask me how.
The only problem is now that I can't get my network running and ended up hanging up the system.
I wanted to connect to the internet now and seem to have a inactivated network card.
I think I found the network activation, but that hangs up the system.
So the only option was to reboot the system the hard way.
I like the distro for all other parts so far.
Seems to be a good one.
And a very fast one.
The wired network seems to work ow after a reinstall with cable connected.
But how to turn on the wireless.
If I click activate it freezes.
And there is a non secure wireless network available.
I use it under windows vista, so i know there is.
Should I change something by hand?
I think the tools should be able to do so, but I don't know how.
Can anyone tell me?
I use to different wireless networks one secure and one not secure.
But I hope momonga will automatically detect there is one available.
It inactivated my wired card, because there was no cable attached.
Why?
I am not very well known with network adminstration under Linux, so please keep it simple for me.
Tnx in advance.
AvalonVrouwe.
I soundslogical that it failed to set up the configuration details as there was no connection in the first place.
As for wireless, I suggest that you figure out the exact type. Probably a driver that is not loaded but without further details there is not telling.
