How do I create my own distro install-cd ?
Hello. I've been thinking about building my own slackware-based distro and I think I have a decent (read: decent, not thorough =) ) understanding of how slackware is built up. That and the slackware manual should get me somewhere..
However I can't seem to see just how the installation part is created. I remember google'ing for isolinux tools or so. And I actually found them. But what I don't get is how to build this system that boots up. I've made a kernel and I think I'll initially settle for a enviroment capable of:
partitioning, mounting and extracting tar.bz files. Then I'd extract the base system (approx 361mb unpacked) and add a few extra's on the way. Much like vector linux seems to do..
Is there *any* guides that helps me do these things ? I can't seem to find much more than projects like slax which (no offense cause they're good) don't really apply to my situation I'd think...
Thanks for any pointers ...^^
