Hi, this is my first time here posting, havent had any reason for it before as this forums is a great asset in general if you read and search :P
Anyway, what i am looking for is a minimalistic distro with touchscreen support and preferably with built in audioplayer that can be manipulated with the touchscreen.
Why this?
Ive had this idea for ages now and it has been possible with win32 one way or another, but as i have been using *nix in more ways than before i was looking for something like GeeXboX.
But GeeXboX for touchscreen and audio only, the reason is that i am going to build a lightweight computer into my car and that computer will be the main playing stereo part, instead of a regular stereo with mp3 support or similar i tought i would go with this.
What i wonder, how can i make this possible? Softwarewise that is, hardwarewise it is fixed.
Summary:
Touchscreen support.
Audioplayer that supports touchscreen.
Wireless LAN support.
lirc (easy enough).
Lightweight/Minimalistic, preferably bootable by CD.
I dont know if this is much help but in sax2 (SUSE advanced X11 Config) there is a touchscreen option. So it seems that this would work for any distro with X11/Xorg the models shown available on my openSUSE box are: ELO 2300-TOUCHSCREEN, MICTOTOUCH and MUTOUCH. Never used a touch screen myself though.
Havent tryed a touchscreen for myself either, seen and tested them on shops but thats all.
That is why i want to be sure what i can use so i dont go around buying something that later wont work :P
Ill check around a little more about this. thnx!
