Advice and help updating kernel on Suse 9.1

I have been using YOU to download and install all the latest patches and such. However I have been unable to download the latest kernel patch that is listed using YOU because my 56k connection kicks me off after a few hours and I need to start again and I'm sure the "continue" button does not work correctly. I've tried about 12 times but it just wont download.

So, I though about trying to download the update using a Kget. That way I can resume the download if(when) the connection is broken.

I went to the Suse website and found this:

http://www.suse.co.uk/uk/private/dow...s/91_i386.html

The first patch seems to be the kernel update that has been listed on YOU for a few weeks.

Could someone just confirm (me being a wimp when it comes to the word "kernel") that I can download kernel-source 2.6.5-7.104 and install it like any normal rpm file?

If not, can someone point me in the right direction (and a nice easy install) to get me upto date?

Many thanks

The Dirty Penguin

Yes, Penguin,
Your line of thought is correct. Just make sure you are downloading the exact same rpm that YOU tries to.
I saw the kernel sources, 38MB right? Big stuff for a dialup. This is a problem with updaters: they don't take into account the dialup users.
