1st nic regular FTP, 2nd nic SSH

SuSE was installed with 1 nic configured SSH2. I am wondering can I add a 2nd nic to run regular FTP?

1st NIC is assigned to handle internet traffic.
2nd NIC will be assigned to different subset to handle intranet traffic.

Can someone tell me how to do that?

Thank you.

I have two nics, eth0 is set up with dhcp for my cable modem,
and eth1 is set up manually for my file server.

Both of these were installed before installation, however the suse live eval cd did a good job configuring them, so i dont see why you cant do what you need to.

if this is what you need to do, just make sure you know which one is which and configure as i have.

If you need more just ask

How do I block non-secure FTP traffic at NIC #1? I want NIC #2 response to FTP traffic only.

Please advise, thank you.
