Unable to print pdf files Ubuntu 10.10

Using Ubuntu 10.04
All hardware ok and printer works perfectly. Everything else prints but send pdf to printer to print hard copy and printer just hangs (shows as 'processing' in print queue but progresses no further.)
As I said, CAN print pdf from command line by using lpr -H localhost 'filename.pdf'
