Skype problem

Posted 04-20-2011 at 02:07 PM by myklmar (Linux Gimux)

It happened again!
Updated Skype, video wouldn't work and it made my voice sound like donald duck!

Have discovered that with some installations Skype video won't work.
So....Try adding this as the properties of a shortcut:

(System >Preferences >Keyboard Shortcuts)

env LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib32/libv4l/v4l2convert.so skype

I've saved mine as Ctrl + Alt + S

No more problems..

Excuses
If you want an excuse and can't think up a witty one, try this:

Type the following or copy and paste, into a terminal:

Code:
echo `telnet bofh.jeffballard.us 666 2>/dev/null` |grep --color -o "Your excuse is:.*$"
