So it 'suddenly' quit working??? Sorry, no...if it's been working for a month, then you 'suddenly' changed something on the system.
And as you've been asked many times before, you need to provide actual details. What, exactly, does it say on the screen?? Any messages? Have you done ANY basic troubleshooting, such as logging in and looking at the log files? Did you try typing "startx" at the command line to see if it comes up? The runlevel could have 'suddenly' changed.
Great news! It was good that you were able to use a backup and reinstall Ubuntu.Even though the issue was not completely solved with the exact issue known; the situation was resolved.
Normally, when an issue is solved, or resolved, to the satisfaction of those concerned, the thread is marked "solved."See the below link.
Hola, tuve el mismo problema y éste codigo fue el único que me funcionó, después de probar de todo, muchas gracias
Thanks Lulu99, This saved my life. I had followed (blindly) some instructions to remove all python versions to do a clean install of anaconda, and I end up removing/breaking my desktop. Again thank's a lot for your time. Even if it was in Spanish! I'm curious why is that some people considered that this thread should be marked as Solved when the only proposed solution was to install the whole system again.

Did you actually read the rest of the thread??
What you're saying 'saved your life', was the command that did NOT WORK for the original poster, in case you didn't notice. And it was ALSO the original poster who decided to reinstall the system rather than wasting more time on things.
