Question texture_from_pixmap, fglrx and compiz

Hello LinuxQuestions

A few days ago I installed ubuntu and installed ATi (fglrx) with envy (i've done it manually too).

I get direct rendering, but my compiz is very slow and I've not go Xgl installed because I've read that it slows everything down, and it is possible without Xgl.

Then i launch compiz

I hope there is someone here that can help me find a solution to this, I've read multiple guides/howto's but none are helping.

Try it, if it really slows down, remove it.
