some things lag in beryl, other do not.

This is not really a big problem but the thing is that when i use beryl the wobbly windows effect and the cube work just fine, but the scrolling in web browser (or any other type of scrolling) lags. And the selection triangle too. Is there some tuning to be done or is it just the way it is?
Radeon 9250 128mb, Pentium III 733 mhz, 512 mb ram. I know its an old machine but still those effects are handled pretty much by the graphics card. As said before wobbly windows and the cube works just fine with no lag.

Thanks in advance

Which compositing manager are you using? Xgl or AIGLX? I don't know about the radeon cards, but with my intel card running Xgl, scrolling in Firefox was slow and laggy. When I switched to AIGLX, effects worked, and scrolling responded normally.

iam not sure, i use only a regular gnome session and i start beryl-manager like any other app. and use the beryl window manager. same thing happens when using compiz instead of beryl.
