I have got a problem with my rhythmbox. After 10 seconds it just freezes... No matter what I do. I have added 2 mp3 live stream stations and added about 200 songs in my playlist. I also installed xserver. Well. I have no idea what could be the problem... Can anybody help me, because playing music is the prime task of the computer
I just started it form the command line. It gives these warnings:
Quote:
(rhythmbox:3286): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.
(rhythmbox:3286): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: couldn't connect to session bus:
Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

And when I want to start it after it has frozen:

Well, it is a fresh install. I believe lenny (or etch), anyway it is the latest stable release, of that I am sure, nbecause I checked it earlier.
The problem did always occur since I have installed debian. I have not upgraded or updated rhythmbox. Just fresh form the install. Howvere I know that the sound card did work, because I got it from an older debian machine, that I have used. I also disabled the onboard sound, so those drivers aren't loaded anymore. I did this by adding the drivers to the blacklist.
Also I already moved the home dir, so it needs to make a new standard profile, but that didn't work...
However I am glad to see error messages. What does it mean?
