Hi since no-one has given a reply to an oldish post until you get a better reply lets start off with some facts?
one...run from a terminal
pulseaudio -h
this will show you at commands need to be exact to have any effect.
pulseaudio --k should have been pulseaudio -k
Two Have you changed from system setting to user settings.....I have to assume no unless you say so.
Three that means that system files in Debian with luck are at /etc/pulse and the client.conf will show a default of
; autospawn = yes
So you copy the files to your home dir called
.config/pulse/
Note the leading dot, easier to see in a terminal
As its likely you are not going to see any configs in that home dir I will leap ahead and give you a fairly easy way of copying?
Code:
cd .config/pulse
cp /etc/pulse/*conf .
cp /etc/pulse/default.pa .
ls -al
Now you have the option to uncomment client.conf and remove the ; and change the line to autospawn = no
so that when you kill the daemon, it will not restart, this session until you tell it to.
As you are a windows user? do a full reboot
then run
and post the results.....assuming your hardware matches the link.....I don't run windows in a VM so can not help there
