Mint14.1 Mate desktop menu blank most if not all the time on first try

A55M-DS2/A4-3400/8gbMushkin/Radioactive/Seagate/1TB/LiteonCD/DVD/AnteBasic 430w/Mint Mate 14.1

The Menu on left panel comes up blank most of the time if not all the time first time I click on it usually after login. I don't seem to have the problem later on after I close and restart Menu. I don't recall any special patterns but seems to not do it after happening once or maybe twice. What may be causing that and what may be a fix?
Thanx %)SW

Have you tested renme you profile-folder so you desktop.manager must recretate the configurationfiles.?

You can even try to add a new user
Code:
sudo adduser <username>
and log in at that user, just to see if (s)he have the same preoblem.

Thanx for the reply dante65!
I have not tried what you suggest. Not even sure what it means. I have dementia and command line is impossible for me for the most part. Even GUIs when they are working have their challenges too.
Start<forget>go<forget>retry<forget> one step foward other steps in other directions.
Thats my mind on bad days.
Would logging in as guest do the same thing?
