Lex and Yacc programs in Ubuntu


How can we run Lex and Yacc programs in ubuntu ? What are the packages we have to install for working lex and yacc ?

search for lex and yacc

you want flex and bison ... installing those packages will also install their dependencies. What else you may need will depend on the project.

The equivalents are flex (BSD license) and bison (GNU GPL). If you need POSIX compatibility with lex and yacc, you should consider using flex-old (and/or the '-l' option), and the bison '--yacc' option.
