I have a strange problem with konqueror. If I open a second instance of konqueror, it loses the navigation icons (back, forward, and the box for a url address).
If I close the first instance, any subsequent konqueror window is without these icons, and the only way to recover is by shutting down & restarting kde.
I am using kde environment, open suse 10.2
Has anyone come across this or know what might be the cause?
Oh, I am sorry,it actually f9 thats brings the Navigation panel. But i think you are looking for Navigation icons and location bar. Please check your tool bar settings. I had once encounter this Navigation panel problem(it was not showing in new konqueror
instance ) but if the tool bar settings are ok then I am not sure what may be wrong.
thanks for your reply again, but f9 does nothing.
One thing I tried was in konqueror settings, by selecting the option to open folders in a new window, then the new window appears with the navigation icons - but no sidebar with the folder tree!!
Opening a new konqueror instance still lacks the icons - unless I restart the kde session. So, I'm still puzzled.
