issues with ICEauthority update during boot

Hello all, attempted to boot up my Mint laptop and received this message: could not update ICEauthority and then could not log in to my system. I did some research about the issue but could not find anything that seemed to fit. I did boot into a live USB MX16, and did remove the ICEauthority file from my home folder, but it continues with the same message. I am in now...somehow, and don't want to shut it down or reboot until I can fix this, any and all suggestions are very welcome.

The issue I found out was a bug with the kernel I was using. I just had to roll back to previous kernel. Hope this helps anyone who may be having the same issue for the same reason.

Thanks, Scott
