Hi, I have installed the gnome desktop on OpenSuse 11.0 and zypper confirms it is already installed, however it doesn't show up in the list when I login. Only KDE, twm, icewm, default and custom. How can I have it appear in the list? Thanks.
Distribution: Mandriva 2009 X86_64 suse 11.3 X86_64 Centos X86_64 Debian X86_64 Linux MInt 86_64 OS X

Why did you use zypper instead of yast ?
I suggest use yast>search>pattern>gnome .
But uninstall it first using zypper as you install it witch zypper.
