How to stop imbecile message "Please reboot your system" after KDE update

My wife's computer runs KDE 4 (because she likes the rotating cube). However regularly the system decides to do some "updating" in the background and then the message appears "Please reboot your system"

I hate this. How much more Windows can you get? My wife is a complete computer analphabete. She does the reboot. Read that again: Linux is requesting a reboot after an update. When comes the day KDE implements some viruses and trojans and require you to run a virus scanner? Just to give converted users the good ol' Windows feeling?

How can I stop this idiotic message?
