how to install downloaded softwere in debian

hai all;
i am new to linux and to this forum.
i want to install a font softwere(eenadu.ttf)
plese tell me the way how to do this.
Actually what is the method to install any softwere ,downloaded from net.

You are asking two questions here. For the font, copy it to the truetype font directory in /usr/share/fonts and then run "fc-cache". As for installing software, take a look here.
