How to hide text below desktop icons? | Mint Mate 18.3 64 Bit


Hello.Have spent quite a bit of time researching this, to no avail.
I would like to know how to hide the text below my desktop icons.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Rename them with a 'space' is one way, but you may be able to right click on it & get an option to remove them too.

Works on folders but not files. I'll just have a folder to hold a file then [right click / rename / spacebar. Voila' Now you see it, now you don't!
