Gentoo Issues with KDE and screen resolutions

I have installed Gentoo and have it set up with a screen resolution of 1680x1050, but after a couple of reboots it goes down to 1024x760 and does not allow me to make it bigger (1024x768 is the highest setting).

I used this because It didnt matter what setting I used, udev would not detect a screen. How do I make it back to 1680x1050 and STAY THERE!!!??
