Firefox keeps using Gimp to show xpdf regardless of Preeferences

On 2 machines I have the same problem: Firefox keeps wanting to use Gimp to view xpdf files, even though I have set Preferences to use xpdf.

This is on Debian Sid without either Gnome or KDE. I removed Gimp temporarily and then xpdf was loaded.

I can't see where Preferences is being over-ridden..

OK I finally found a solution. Firefox wants the full path to xpdf. In Preferences I chose 'Use other' and then navigated to /usr/bin/xpdf and clicked on that. Now it no longer uses gimp.
