i am using suse pro 9.3 and having some problem while running some apps..
apps are:
--gaim - after updated to 1.2.1 i used it a while then it does not run
--gimp - it doesnt rum after-the error is;
(Gecko:15644): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter)'.
(Details: serial 2793 error_code 4 request_code 55 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
all the apps were working at new installed system...
i dont know what i did to these apps but they dont work anymore.
thank for your help..

Rep:
are you using Baghira? that messed up all those progs. for me. My work-around was to delete the .qt file(hidden file) in the user directory and change out of Bagirha.
Don't worry, the .qt file gets re-created as soon as you start any of those programmes. Now of course they will not have the same 'look' as all the others on your desktop.
Its a qt-gtk engine thing I havent quite figured out, and firefox is still messed up somewhat.
Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
