Smile Filter and side pane in Nautilus like windoze explorer.

The only things I want from windoze explorer are:-

1. The ablility to filter the files in accordance with the items in the dropdown list beside the fields in explorer.

For example, by clicking the Type field dropdown menu, one can select only a specific type of files to be listed and by clicking the size field dropdown menu, one can select only files size of which is between a range/less than/greater than a value to be listed in the window.

2. Possible actions in the side pane in accordance with the file icon that has focus.

I don't find the side pane [F9] much useful. All useful scripts and nautilus actions should be listed here instead of context menu.

Are there some workarounds to achive these ?

Thanks in advance.
