Compiz Fusion Windows Blurring on nvidia Fx5200

Hello people,

I have an nvidia geforce fx5200 on Fedora 9 and i was wondering if anyone managed to run compiz fusion blurring with that particular card. I installed compiz fusion and the blurring option is on, but i dont see any blurring on the windows. Also on the settings of the plugin, focus blur is ticked, blur filter is set to 4x bilinear and on the focus blur windows box i have "toolbar | menu | utility | normal | dialog | modaldialog". I tried playing a little with the settings with no success(but really i didnt know anything about what i was doing). So what i want to know is if the problem is the graphics card or a wrong configuration of the plugin.
I know there is a special forum for compiz but i just prefer posting here first.

Any help would be really appreciated
Thx in advance

Yeah, probably better in a Compiz forum but before this gets moved...
1) I've noticed in the latest Compiz (0.7.7) certain effects which used to work OTB, don't. Certain effects will play nice with others, some won't, my solution was to disable all effects except the one you're having a problem with (I know if you enable Animations it includes a bunch of other effects like Minimize that can be enabled separately) and do a process-of-elimination thing.
2) Make sure the versions of all the different parts that go into Compiz Fusion are the right versions for each other.
3) An FX 5200 card is scraping the low end of Compiz/Beryl-style effects (been there, done that). I know vid cards are getting stupid-expensive these days but keep in mind that this might be a bottleneck for you.
