Can See screen refreshing with Beryl in Opensuse and using ATI 9700
Finally got a distro up and running that would work with my 9700 pro and run Beryl with proprietary drivers, some reason the XOrg drivers caused the system to crash. Anyways, now Beryl runs great accept for the fact that depending on what windows are on screen I can see lines running up the windows or highlighted icons that look like the screen is refreshing.
My current configuration is:
XOrg 7.2 RC2
Xgl Suse's cvs_060522-39
Beryl 2.12
KDE 3.5.5
Radeon 9700 pro
Opensuse 10.2
Beryl running on top of XGL
Dell 2407WFP running through the analog connector and a KVM
(let me know if there is any other info needed)
I don't really notice it too much but I don't want to kill my monitor because it's getting signals that it can't handle. It looks fine when using KWIN, it's only when I change to Beryl and mainly when I open the Beryl settings manager. If it's not going to kill my monitor, I can deal with it, because as I said it's not really noticeable. It's mainly because I've had LCDs die before and I can't really replace this one.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
(Update: Removed the KVM and linked directly into the monitor, didn't solve the problem).
