I recently installed ubuntu 20.04 on my computer and it was working fine until I tried opening minecraft in fullscreen and now I cannot click between windows. I can switch windows if I use alt tab but it's quite awkward to use when I have multiple programs open at once.
I'm not sure I understand the problem being described, but as an alternative to Alt-Tab: some desktop environments let you switch applications by using Super-[number] - i.e. Super-1 for first application, Super-2 for second, etc.
I saw this post earlier, and I don't know the problem either. Perhaps all the open windows are fullscreen. If that's the case, clicking on the Restore button at the top right, probably the third icon in, might help. But I really am unsure of what the issue really is.
FWIW I almost always use Alt-tab to switch between windows.
It’s from my old mainframe days. One of my mentors used to say “Real programmers don’t use a mouse.”
I agree that once one application is fill screen, one can only change applications by clicking on entries on the task bar or Alt-tab.
