Novell CLP & CLE Exams

Have anyone take the Novell CLP or CLE exams. If so do you have any advice for someone preparing for them? Is it worth it?

yes, it IS worth it.

I studied for a few weeks using a couple of servers using different scenarios. I built a web/mail solution, a system monitoring solution, etc etc..
Getting used to configuring stuff in SUSE/Yast is absolutely necessary!
You need a solid grasp of system services in Linux and in SUSE in especially.

Any recommendations of books / classes? How much of it is about SuSE Enterprise Server? And what type of YaST info did they ask for (woohoo I am pretty familiar with it).

What type of full "Solutions" did you get questioned on.

Thanks for the answers in advance, I am looking to start studying for CompTIA Linux+ along with the Novell CLP.

Then comes the (Windows Cert's )

It's ALL about SLES9!
You need to know how to work the init scripts and insert services (insserv) etc.
I can't go into specifics (the Novell certification NDA forbids me) but the scenarios are based on typical corporate tasks.

If you can take classes then I recommend the official Novell classes (#3037/3038)or a good book on SLES9.

No big yast issues, just know how to work it, and you'll save some time if you use the ncurses version.

Best of luck!
/m
