Wireless Router Hate Rant
Here I am sitting in my chair cursing my router, God, and anybody and anything else I can think to curse. Why on Earth does the stupid thing have to be so complicated? This was designed by NHGH himself, for sure! I'm trying to get my psp to connect wirelessly. I'm not going to turn off my WEP, that's out of the question. The thing just won't connect, it's driving me insane! Praise "Bob!"
I am sure I have the settings right. DHCP enabled, ssid's correct, put the proper WEP key in at least three times already. The PSP isn't the only wirless thing I have problems with. My uncle's computer uses a wireless NIC and the SAME problem occurs with it. Completely correct settings fail to work for no reason at all than just to bother the hell out of me. I change the WEP key, switch from DHCP to static and back again multiple times. Type in directly the WEP key, or use the passphrase, none of it makes a difference. I swear to God, I give up on it, and two freaking hours later, mostly with the settings I tried right from the start, the stupid thing connects to the internet for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON AT ALL! It then procedes to cut out for the rest of the day, then work the next day and not have another problem until something significant changes. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!!?!?!?! How can I learn linux without reading anything but manuals and forums, and this blasted router with what on the surface appear to be simple settings get the best of me?! It blinks at me, taunting me day and night. I know if I use a screw driver to widen the air vent holes, it will help out. Just like on my Xbox360, which is another rant, I reserved for their tech support. I think I need to hold a seance to get the retarded thing to work with my PSP.
Was everything I did in vain? Why does JHVH-1 test us so?
Please, don't try to help out with this, it will only pull you in. The closer I get to putting it under my car's tire and peeling out the better. Oyea.
Stupid 360, burning out after four short days.
That is all.
Unless you count this.
