Windows 2000 super user mode??

Does anybody know if you can log in as administrator while already logged in as another user on a Windows 2000 Pro machine, similar to doing a 'su' or 'su -' in linux?

Thanks...

The way to do it is to hold down shift and right click the shortcut and select 2run as", you can then use the Admin account for that shortcut.

On the command line, you need to use the "runas", try "runas ?" for the variables (w/o the quotes).

It's not quite 'logged in as', but it'll do.

Thanks!!

mmm - I've never had the need to try it but what happens if you launch explorer as an administrator then start an app from the new explorer window?

it'll run under the same admin account. works just like using kdesu to launch konqueror, or using su in a konsole session, when logged into the GUI as a normal user. You can run cmd.exe as an admin for a su-like command prompt in Windows.
