I just bought be a Mac actually

You can run Linux on a Mac, and the latest version of the their OS is actually built from Linux.

Cool

Oh, and you can get em used for a bit cheaper. Mine, of course being really old, was only 65 bux (not a G5 of course ), that included shipping. Ebay rocks.

You can sometimes find older, but still plenty fast, ones on Ebay for a really good price. I think I saw a dual G4 on there for something slightly affordable, and was definitely less than a new PC (which wouldn't have touched it in speed).

Cool

BZZZT! Wrong!

OSX is built off of FreeBSD and OpenDarwin, NOT Linux.

For that, you must be beaten down with a COBOL manuial.

I run a Mac and a pc. The pc is the newest, but the Mac I run the most. Yes, they're a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. The OS beats the hell out of anything microshaft could EVER put out (that's not saying much though)

2.000 bucks for the cheapest G5 one... I also would love having a G5, but for this price I ratter buy a motorcycle to enjoy the summer instead of sitting in my 40 C room and add one more computer in here (to make it even warmer...lol) .
