So I tried the OSX x86 that was floating around, and after running iTunes, I realise that I clicked a checkbox i shouldn't have, and all my music-dirs were in chaos..
After trying to fix it for a while, I decided to boot win, and try to fix it using iTunes in win, cause it actually is quite a nifty little program in some ways...
Now. After I got it sort of fixed, I didn't like the way iTunes automatically named folders and filenames so I decided to check a forum for whether this could be changed. Nothing found, so why not join a forum and ask someone that uses this devils app on a regular basis?

Note that the guy giving me an earful is the founder of the forums and the post was locked after his reply!
The moral of this is: NEVER try apple software or hardware, and after this there'll be at least 2 nucelar winters before i get an iPod aswell!
Hmmm! So iTunes just works..."Sit down, shut up and obey you mindless DOG!" "How dare you even suggest such a thing as getting into your own directory system and even attempting to look at those restricted folders!"...."What gives you the right to do such a thing?" 'Who do you think you are anyway!?" "Those folders on your system belong to US, they are not yours!"..."You are banished from our forum you scofflaw!"
Lots of help there I see! I'm glad I don't have to deal with THAT forum!
Yeah, that guy seemed like a bit of a toss but then lets not get started on Macs in a linux forum, esspecially since the version you are using is, well... you shouldn't be using it. I have an iPod and I think it's great, gtkpod is a neato app that doesn't touch your directory structure. That's the job of the program I use to manage my music which funnily enough, allows me to choose how it's structured. Oh isn't linux grand

I gotta be honest, I didn't know there was a gtk app for iPod-control. That suddenly gives iPod a couple of +'s when deciding which new mp3-player to get. Weeee no iTunes!!
What prog do you use? Personally, I prefer eterm, but if you got something better I could try...
the guy is such an idiot i thought he was joking or being sarcastic at first. i had to read the post a second time to realize he was being serious. what a horrible mindset mac users are in, apparently: "let my computer do whatever it wants and let it tell me what to do." that's *worse* than windows! but you are 100% correct that the computer should do what you tell it to, not the other way around. kudos to you for being polite about it and not getting sucked into their idiocy. "i don't need a babysitter," heh.
i love how that one guy said that's why you run virus scanners, registry cleaners and disk defragmenters, to make your life easier. i'm sorry, but what an idiot.
Just thought I would add this...I went through and read the entire thread in that iPod forum. Just about everyone seems to have a mindset that suggests the system should be in charge and you should just use it and not ask questions. It is almost diametrically opposed to the Linux philosophy! Nargile...You don't belong there, you want to think!

Haahahahaha, that was a hilarious thread Sad to see that computer users will go that far..

Not to worry Ahmed...We won't LET you change your bootloader settings...Or any other settings for that matter. You have no right to do that!

I don't think that 'Mac' guy would do very well with a Linux installation...It would probably put his closed brain into maximum overload!
Nargile: Stick with us and you will probably get all the real help you need! And yes, please DO explore your folders!
Not to worry. I would never abandon tux for a piece of fruit! The apple is evil. Who do you think took a bite of it?
Glad you guys agree in it beeing funny(and tragic) as hell btw, cause after posting this I actually started thinking "Did I sound like a complete twerp in that post? They can't be that stupid?!" I'm thinking I might find another forum and post the exact same question, just to see if this IS in fact a par for a mac-users state of mind.
The 10gig disk i used for the osx-install is now reformatted and hosting 10 gigs of *nudity and sexual references*, and my win-install once again contain games only!

At least you are using the 10gigs of space for something more practical.
