What Is Your Electric Bill Like?

In line with my Quad CPU Cautionary Tale Post:

What is Your Electric Bill Like? No dollar figures just power consumption please.

Do you think you electric consumption would be more or less with Linux, vs Windows, and I'll Throw a Bone to the MAC Users since I am one? So power consumption Linux vs Window vs MAC servers on the same hardware.

Let's keep this to people and there homes who run 1 - 3 servers 24/7. God I hope I'm not the only one, that would be terrible; it would mean I'm an ubergeek .

I use to run 3 24/7 including the beast mentioned in the other post.

04/06 I used just over 1050kwh peaking at 1500kwh in August 06, to a low of 585kwh with just one Dual Core MAC running 24/7.

Low of 500kwh Jan and a high of 1200kwh in August. About the same for the 12 months preceding. 1 PIII1ghz with 5 IDE, 1 X2 3800+ with 2 pata and 1 sata. It is an older house with poor insulation. The good news is that in the winter it helps heat the house. You can really feel it when the house is a little cool (morning).
