This also looks interesting, and I would love the Ghostbusters car

Tempting!

For me, its either the Coyote X from 'Hardcastle and McCormick' (series 1)-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Coyote_Ride_022.JPG
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Coyote_033.JPG

Or a Lancia Stratos from some of the 'Herbie' films-

When I'm in a bad mood I sometimes want the Cyclops from 'The Big Bus'-

A nuclear powered bus with 'flags of all nations' aerobraking!

From what I've heard, 'twitchy with a big learning curve' seem to be pretty common description of how they drive. Thats just in 190HP road trim as well, the turboed 500HP+ racing versions would have been scary fun...

+1 I remember when they first came on the scene, they were just SO dominant in rallying.

My Audi allroad uses an evolution of that 4wd so it's actually badged "quattro" which makes me tingle

If we're talking about scary rally cars then Metro 6R4 has to be up the list!

Yes TenTenths, it has to be on the list...but in that style of car I'd rather have a 205 Turbo 16.

Its a pity they killed group b.

Indeed it is!

Although rallys loss was rallycrosses gain.

From a marshals perspective, when you're THAT close to the track seeing a grid of around 10 6R4's and RS200's coming towards you in one go will cure any constipation!

I think I've seen rallycross on TV once. Its far rarer than ralling here, and ralling is pretty muc ignored.

*tinfoil hat on*

I'm sure that part of the reason why group b was cut....and group s never happened....was because it was taking away too much publicity and viewers away from F1. If group b had of kept going into 1987, or group s happened, I'm sure it would have been much biger than it was.

Ferrari and Porsche getting involved would have added a lot of appeal. Who wouldnt have wanted to see a Ferrari 288 GTO up aginst a Porche 959?

Yep, Sounds like a hoot! Was built ground up for Rally supposedly.

Any one remember the M4S PPG Turbo Interceptor from "The Wraith"?
Doubt I could fit into either car. See Rally Racing maybe once a year here on TV (U.S.).

I rememebr the wraith, but I never knew what car they'd used. Thanks weirdwolf

I dont know about the M4S PPG, but I think you'd fit into the stratos. Jeremy Clarkson does and he is 6'5''/196cm.
