Waiting to be able to try Metisse, if I could ever get its dependency "Núcleo" to compile. Why do some programs have to make libpng14 such a pain?

Notice the proper application of the Çømþö§ə key above!

WOW that's cool!

It even seems to support input redirection (Something Compiz is still catching up on)!

Posting this from Salix on my laptop. Wireless worked right away even though I had to go a long way about setting it up for wpa (ok it took under 90 seconds to do it - even though it's my first time time with it, but still an initial prompt for a password would be nice). It took longer to remember how to edit grub for multiboot than it did to install the OS. So far this is pretty nice. Now to test out the "multimedia" codec installer and the to see how the wireless is actually working.....

AFAIK Metisse is concentrated on using 3D effects to improve productivity, where Compiz focuses on flashy eye candy.

I have just one question: are the transitions/effects really as slow as they are in the video, or are they tweakable, and they're just slow in the video so that you can see it?

I have no idea. I'm just waiting for someone to help me successfully compile Núcleo so I can try it.

The problem is that it completely fails because it wants libpng12.

I am also compiling it as an Arch Linux package from the AUR, so it can be managed by pacman.

EDIT: Absolutely have to post this: http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Command_Line

Playing with SalixOS. It has some nice features, but it seems to require more fiddling with than Slackware proper. I do like Gslapt though. It is a nice little tool.
